These are a specialty type of scissor, made by Heritage Handcrafted Cutlery.
I've been using to remove stitches from my mending, and the occasional seam as well. These can also be used to clip threads, making them multi-purpose as you work.
Sharp steel, blades, with a screw, so they can be sharpened later if needed.
Flattened side design, makes it comfortable to use as a seam ripper.
Removable, sparkly, rubber finger pads.
